It appears all is not well with Nigerian singers Omah Lay and Tems as the former has taken to his social media handle to post some disturbing tweets on his timeline.

The music star took to his Twitter page to disclose in a series of tweet that he and his colleague Tems have been placed in hand cuffs.

According to Omah Lay, he is only a singer trying to entertain people in Uganda and wondered why he is being treated badly.

The music star noted further that he didn’t organize the show but simply performed for his teeming fans who were eager to hear him.

He wrote:“I didn’t organize a show, I came on stage and saw teeming fans and sang to them…”

The singer also disclosed that the Ugandan authorities are stopping the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from lending a helping hand adding that it seems something is happening and he is being set up and blamed for it.

However, the Ugandan police force through it’s official Twitter page announced that the singer’s have been charged to court for getting involved in acts that could spread infectious diseases adding that the plans to have them released have been suspended and will remain in custody until December 16, 2020.

The tweet read:”The earlier plans of releasing them on police bond, were suspended after their casefile was sanctioned by the Office of the DPP. They were jointly charged with four other Ugandans. All remanded till Wednesday 16.12.2020.”
