Popular American singer Enisa has seen a sharp decline in her follower count on X (formerly Twitter), losing over 12,000 followers in less than 24 hours.
This sudden drop in followers came after Enisa made the decision to unfollow Nigerian Afrobeat artist, Davido.
Enisa, who gained significant traction in Nigeria after Davido featured on the remix of her hit song “Love Cycle” in 2021, has faced backlash for her actions.
The collaboration with Davido was instrumental in helping her connect with the Nigerian audience, where the song became widely popular.
However, just a few years after this boost to her career, Enisa’s decision to unfollow Davido has led to a noticeable decrease in her follower count
It drops from 821.9k to 809.3k as of Friday.
The unfollowing has not gone unnoticed, with many Nigerians expressing disappointment.
Other influential figures like social media personality Smallie and Dapsy also played a role in helping Enisa build her fanbase in Nigeria.
