Award winning singer, David Adeleke, popularly known by his stage name Davido, has reportedly been scheduled to perform at the ongoing FIFA World Cup closing ceremony in Qatar, on December 18, 2022.
Recall that the singer canceled all his performances and shows following the untimely demise of his son, Ifeanyi, whom he lost to a drowning accident on October 31, 2022.
Davido made his first public appearance during the inauguration of his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, as the Governor of Osun State and sparked massive reactions after being spotted with an engagement ring.
However, in a recent update, Chinese businessman, Stephen Hung, in a post shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, December 8, 2022, confirmed that Davido who was initially supposed to perform at the World Cup opening ceremony will now be performing at the closing ceremony.
He wrote: “So happy my bro @davido confirmed he will be performing at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony. Can’t wait to see him there”.
This will be Davido’s first stage appearance since he went off the public following the death of his first son.
