Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi: "Proud Of The Team This Season, We Dropped  Points Due To Champions League Tie Against Liverpool"

Despite failing to defend the Scudetto this season, Simone Inzaghi is poised to sign a contract extension with Inter that would keep him at the club until 2024.

When the exits of major individuals like as Antonio Conte, Romelu Lukaku, and Achraf Hakimi, the 46-year-old Italian coach joined the Nerazzurri in June after his contract with Lazio expired.

Inzaghi had a successful debut season, winning the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana, but he was unable to defend the team’s Scudetto.

Inter president Steven Zhang respects Inzaghi’s work and wants to reward him following a great debut season, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The new contract for the Italian coach will run through 2024, and his remuneration will increase from €4 million to €5.5 million net every season, with a one-year extension possibility.
