Nigerian businessman and former husband to Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams, Simon Guobadia, has opened up for the first time since their highly publicised divorce
He reveals shocking details and deep regret.
In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Guobadia admitted that his whirlwind marriage to the reality star was, in his words, a mistake.
“I absolutely regret it,” he declared.
More than just disappointment, Simon said he felt manipulated.
He alleged that he was “targeted for financial reasons.”
The entrepreneur said that despite his repeated attempts to seek clarity on why the marriage ended, Williams never gave him a direct answer.
“I kept asking, ‘Why did you file for a divorce?’ And she wouldn’t say anything,” he claimed.
He expresses frustration over the silence that followed their breakup.
According to him, even reaching out to her family yielded no results.
“This felt like a coup,” Guobadia said. “I was totally blindsided.”
Ironically, Porsha herself had recently predicted that he would eventually come to that realisation.
Left with unanswered questions and emotional turmoil, Simon Guobadia revealed that he eventually sent her a final text message.
He expresses his disillusionment: “This was a $5 million rehab project that I took on.”
The couple’s marriage lasted just 14 months, ended in February 2024 when Porsha Williams filed for divorce.
