This new policy, announced by Beijing following a recent China-CELAC meeting, aims to strengthen ties and simplify travel between the regions.

It follows the recent fourth ministerial meeting of the China-CELAC Forum, which Beijing hosted earlier this month.
The forum brings together China and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) to promote dialogue and collaboration.
Government Signals Further Travel Ease
Furthermore, spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry, Lin Jian, emphasised that the new visa exemption shows China’s commitment to making cross-border travel easier.
He also indicated that the government plans to introduce additional measures to facilitate movement between China and Latin America.
China Visa-Free Access Details
The visa-free access will run from June1, 2025 to May 31, 2026, allowing visitors to travel for tourism, business, visiting relatives or friends, cultural exchange, and transit.
