British actor and comedian Russell Brand has pleaded not guilty to several charges of sexual offences during a court hearing in London.
The hearing took place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Southwark Crown Court. Brand is facing five charges involving four different women.
The alleged incidents happened between 1999 and 2005 in London and Bournemouth. The charges include one count of rape, one count of indecent assault, one count of oral rape, and two counts of sexual assault.
The court has set the trial to begin on June 3, 2026, and it is expected to last four to five weeks. Until the trial, Brand remains on conditional bail.
Russell Brand became popular in the early 2000s as a TV and radio host. He has denied all allegations, saying his past relationships were consensual.
He says he is ready to defend himself and clear his name in court.
The charges came after a 2023 investigation, which led several women to come forward with their stories.
