Cristiano Ronaldo has told his former boss, Luiz Felipe Scolari, all about life at Al-Nassr – with the Portuguese revealing whether he is “happy”.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner needed a move after being released by Manchester United in November 2022.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus superstar decided – after representing Portugal at another World Cup – to embrace a new challenge in the Middle East.
Ronaldo penned the most lucrative contract in world football when heading to the Saudi Pro League, and is now into the final year of those terms.
No extension has been agreed as yet to a deal that is due to expire in the summer of 2025.
Ronaldo is, however, feeling settled in Saudi Arabia – alongside his partner Georgina Rodriguez and their children.
He plundered 50 goals across all competitions last season and has made it his mission to reach 1,000 across his remarkable career before considering retirement.
The 39-year-old appears willing to consider an extended stay in his current surroundings, with Scolari – who managed Portugal between 2003 and 2008 – telling Al-Nassr’s official media during a visit to Riyadh:
“I was even more impressed and happy because Cristiano Ronaldo said to me: ‘Coach, I am very happy to be here at Al-Nassr. I live well here’.
“And this is something I have been waiting to hear from my boy who has worked with me for many years.”

Ronaldo has been among the goals again for club and country this season, allowing him to surge beyond 900 in total.
The expectation is that an agreement will be reached at some stage that sees him commit to at least one more year at Al-Nassr.
