The Roland Garros tennis Grand Slam has announced a new five-year partnership with French car manufacturer, Renault ahead of the 2022 tournament.

According to French media, the deal is worth between €5 million and €7 million per year.

Renault now becomes a premium partner of the French Open until 2026. The company’s arrangement includes logo branding on the nets of Roland Garros’ five main courts throughout this year’s tournament, which starts on 22nd May and runs until 5th June.

During this year’s French Open, the car brand will also showcase its electric and hybrid range onsite, promoting the Renault’s drive to become fully electric in Europe by 2030. A fleet of 160 Renault cars will also be made available to organisers during the Grand Slam.

Renault replaces rival French automaker Peugeot as a partner of Roland-Garros, with the latter having been associated with the tournament since 1984.
