Rihanna and the NFL have announced that she’s headlining the 2023 Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. She will perform in the Super Bowl LVII halftime show at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Feb. 12.

It will marks Rihanna’s first public performance since her appearance with DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller at the 2018 Grammy Awards.

The news comes after both Rihanna and the NFL tweeted a picture of the musician’s hand holding a football Sunday afternoon, sparking speculation that she would be the halftime performer.

Last week, the NFL announced a multiyear partnership with Apple Music for the halftime shows, and Rihanna’s will be the first.

In the NFL’s statement, Jay-Z, whose entertainment agency Roc Nation is one of several executive producers on the halftime show, called Rihanna a “generational talent.”
