Los Blancos are hoping to entice the 27-year-old away from the Premier League champions in the last year of his contract for roughly £50 million.
Sterling has battled to maintain his spot in Pep Guardiola’s title-winning team this season, but he has still managed to score 17 goals and provide nine assists in 47 games.
Last year, in an interview with the Spanish press, Sterling expressed his appreciation for the Los Blancos.
