Nigerian actor, Yomi Fabiyi has finally taken to the streets of Lagos to fulfill his promise of leading a protest to demand for the release of his colleague Baba Ijesha.
The actor who shared series of videos on his Instagram page where he led a protest to the State Criminal Investigative Department in Panti where Baba Ijesha is being detained had other people at the protest ground demanding for Baba Ijesha’s release.
Recall that the actor has been actively involved in his colleague’s case, demanding for his release noting that his offence is a bailable one.
In the video shared on his page, he stated that police officers should not hold anybody against their rights.
“It is criminal to deny anybody’s rights. If anybody is arrested of anything that is a bailable offence, the person deserves to be granted bail. We don’t want it again in our country where any police officer will be holding citizens against their rights. It can be done to your son, father, brother, and friend. Police officers should not hold anybody against their rights.”

If you want to do it right, do it solely by protesting for other detainees that have been in jail/cell for years without a court hearing and not just baba ijesha alone but until then I take it that he’s your mentor.”
