Yeni Kuti, the first daughter of late Nigerian political activist and Afrobeats singer, Fela Kuti took to her Instagram page to honor him on his 27th death anniversary amidst the #EndBadGovernace protests rocking the country.
In addition, the mother of one expressed her concerns that not much has changed since his demise despite his activism.
“It has been 27 years since Fela left us. Nothing much has changed.
“Today marks the 27th anniversary of his passing. I am hoping that his struggle for a better life for his people was not in vain.
“Listen to the cries of the people if you are in a position of power.
The people are the most important part of the Government.”

She shared some photos to capture some of the “aftermath of his several beatings through” the years.
