Hosted by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the summit will bring together global leaders to address critical international challenges under the theme, “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet.”

Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga confirmed the trip, outlining key discussion points, including poverty alleviation, energy transition, and sustainable development.

President Tinubu is set to advocate for the reform of global governance institutions, a priority Nigeria has consistently championed.

According to Onanuga, “Nigeria has presented its strong credentials for a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.”

The Nigerian leader will also hold bilateral meetings with world leaders to bolster economic reforms in agriculture, energy, and infrastructure.

Accompanying the President are Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Livestock Development Mukhtar Maiha, and Minister of Arts, Tourism, Culture, and Creativity Hannatu Musawa.

The summit is expected to provide Nigeria with a platform to strengthen its international standing and explore partnerships for national development.
