Get ready for the celebrity clash of the year, as Nigerian musicians Portable and Speed Darlington swap the microphone for boxing gloves in what promises to be the most chaotic, meme-worthy showdown of 2025!
After weeks of online drama, the feuding entertainers are finally settling their differences inside a boxing ring.
The fight is set for Friday evening, April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Center
The drama started when Imo-born Darlington invited Portable to perform at his upcoming show.
He offered him a fee of ₦500,000, but the Zeh Nation boss, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, was having none of it.
Outraged, he turned down the offer, claiming it was beneath him and even suggesting Darlington was broke.
“₦500k for what? I charge ₦20 million per show, ask around!” Portable scoffed
Speed Darlington, never one to back down from a fight (verbal or otherwise), fired back, furious that Portable had dragged his mother into the insults.
“Why did I even contact Portable? I regret it! Why insult my mother?” he fumed.
But Portable wasn’t done. He took things up a notch by challenging Darlington to a proper fight.
He boasts that he would knock him out just as he did with actor Charles Okocha.
“Let’s settle this in the ring. I will defeat you like I defeated Okocha!” he bragged.
And now, thanks to Mygamerush, this heated war of words is officially turning into a full-blown boxing match.
Announcing the event on Instagram, the organisers teased: “You asked, and now it is here. Two street kings battle for ultimate street supremacy”.
