At least 15 persons have been killed by unknown gunmen who invaded Bokkos and Mangu local government areas of Plateau State on Thursday, June 19.
According to reports, the recent violence happened at the Manja community of the Chakfem kingdom in Mangu and the Tangur community in Bokkos.
It was gathered that the attackers stormed the communities at different times.
While the Tangur attack was carried out around 9pm when people were already sleeping, that of Chakfem was much earlier.
The attackers, it was learnt, operated for a while during the attacks before disappearing.
Residents of Mangu and Bokkos confirmed that seven people were killed in Mangu, while eight people died in Bokkos.

According to one of the sources, the gunmen came to their community and started shooting sporadically, while breaking into people’s homes.
The state police command is yet to comment on this development.
