Oil theft, subsidy, others rips Nigeria N38bn in one month

Following the reported pipeline leakage at Ijegu-Alakija area, Satellite Town, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, on Sunday, said it has completed repair works.

This is coming even as the Corporation stated that it has resumed pumping operations.

iBrandTV had reported that at about 1530hrs on Friday, the NNPC’s ATC-Mosimi pipeline along Ojokwu Street, Navy Town axis of Satellite Town in Lagos was leaking and the cause of the leakage can not be ascertained as yet.

The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Mr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, also stated that, “We received an alert Thursday evening and upon arrival, it was discovered that an NNPC pipeline along the axis at Ojukwu street, Navy Town was leaking.

However, NNPC’s spokesperson, Kenny Obateru, told iBrandTV in a chat that, “Repair was successfully completed at about 1930hrs local time, and pumping operations from Atlas Cove to Mosimi resumed at 2008hrs
