As a move geared towards addressing challenges faced by Nigerians across the 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, the #RevolutionNow protest is currently ongoing in various states in Nigeria.

The convener of the protest, who is also the publisher of Sahara reporters, Omoyele Sowore had earlier disclosed that the protest will go on today.

iBrandTv gathered that the protest hinged on the demand, according to the convener of the protest is for better governance from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Also recall that Sowore was arrested on August 3, 2019, by the Department of State Services and was kept in jail from that period until December 24.

Following international outrage, along with other stakeholders involvement, he later released after the DSS initially floating two court orders sanctioning his freedom on bail.

As at the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Police Command has already arrested 10 participants of the #RevolutionNow protest.

The protesters had gathered at the Ikeja area of Lagos for a peaceful protest, suddenly, they were attacked by the police with teargas canisters in order to disperse them.

Those arrested have been moved to an unknown destination while others at the scene of the protest are being chased by the police to leave the vicinity.

The demonstrators had taken to the streets early this morning to demand better governance from the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
