No one wants trouble always; forget the; ‘I don’t want peace’ meme you hear. This desire for peace is evident in the conflict of interest between Pastor Femi Lazarus, the lead pastor of Light Nation Church in Abuja, and renowned singer Timi Dakolo.
Now, they have finally put their differences aside after their recent social media disagreements and war of words.
Their dispute began when Timi Dakolo questioned why Pastor Lazarus charged fees for his school of ministry while criticising gospel musicians for requesting payment to perform in churches.
In response, the pastor explained that his ministry school operates like any other educational institution, justifying the fees.
Meanwhile, Timi Dakolo stood his ground, emphasising that gospel musicians also have financial responsibilities and should be compensated for their work.
However, on Monday evening, Pastor Lazarus took to Instagram to announce that they had resolved the issue.
Sharing a picture of himself, Dakolo, and Pastor Iren, he praised the singer for advocating for musicians.
Also, he acknowledges that he now understands the validity of Dakolo’s concerns.

“My brother Timi Dakolo is a music legend, give him his flowers. What a man! He genuinely carries the burdens of musicians.
“His concerns are real. I love you. Better structures will be built. Pain is real. From pulpits to the pew, the pain is real, but we will be fine.
“This generation will not have a carryover of pain. Hosts will do better. Guests will do better. We will build a better nation together,” he wrote.
