Southwest governors are reorganizing security arrangements in order to prevent another terrorist strike.
This comes in the wake of the June 5 attack on St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, carried out by individuals claimed by the Federal Government as being assisted by the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP).

Governors of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, and Ondo states determined to convene a physical meeting on a fresh plan to defend the Southwest against similar invasion and killings following a virtual meeting over the weekend.
The group determined to combat terrorism aggressively in order to prevent a repetition of the Owo massacre.
They also asked Amotekun, the regional security organization, to control the entry of Okada riders into the six states.
At the weekend, Nobel laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka, described the Owo attack as a clear message to the region to gird its loins.
The governors, who declared a three-day mourning period to symbolise their collective concern, directed that flags should fly at half-mast in all public buildings, facilities and official residences in Southwest in honour of victims of Owo attack.
