The Chairman of Ejigbo local government in Osun State, Gbenga Ayegbayo has been confirmed dead.
A member of the council’s parliament told iBrandTV that the council Chairman died at the early hours of Monday morning.

The source added that Ayegbayo had been battling with an undisclosed illness for months before his demise.

It was gathered that he died at a private hospital in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Ayegbayo was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress and was elected Chairman of Ejigbo LG in 2018.
However, as at the time of filing this report, there no official statement to confirm his death, either by the party or local government officials.
