The Open Heavens 1 July 2025 topic is “According to Your Capacity (1).” It reminds us that while God wants to bless us, He does so based on our ability to handle the blessing.

He does not give us more than we can manage not because He wants to hold back good things, but because He is a wise and loving Father.

Many people ask God for big blessings success, wealth, influence, promotion, even marriage. But sometimes, the reason the answer is delayed is not because God said “no,” but because we are not yet ready.

God is a loving Father. He doesn’t give us things just because we want them. He gives them when we are able to manage them well.

Just like you wouldn’t give a child the keys to a car, God will not hand over certain blessings to someone who isn’t prepared.

The Bible says in Galatians 4:1–2 that even though a child may be an heir (owner of everything), he is no different from a servant until he grows up.

This shows that spiritual growth is necessary before certain blessings can be released. God watches how you handle what you already have before He gives you more.

1. Growth Takes Time

Look at the story of Joseph. He had a big dream as a teenager, but it took years of pain, patience, and growth before he became a ruler in Egypt. His time in slavery and prison was not a waste it was training.

Moses also had a call from God. He tried to help the Israelites too early and ended up running into the wilderness. He spent 40 years there, learning humility and leadership, before God used him to lead His people out of Egypt.

Even David, after being anointed king, went back to taking care of sheep. He still had to fight battles, serve under King Saul, and wait for his time to reign.

These examples remind us that God takes time to build capacity before promotion.

2. Build Yourself in the Waiting

If you are waiting for something—marriage, business breakthrough, a ministry platform, or a new level—ask yourself:

Am I growing in wisdom and self-control?

Am I managing what I already have well?

Am I open to learning and correction?

Don’t waste your waiting season. This is your time to read, learn, grow, serve, and stay close to God.

Capacity is built quietly but when the time comes, it speaks loudly.
