Today, 10th of May 2020, makes it one year after Azeez Fashola, known professionally as Naira Marley, was arrested and charged to Court on an 11 count charge of advance fee fraud popularly called ‘Yahoo-Yahoo‘ by the Economic and Financial Crime Commissions, EFCC
The Nigerian singer and songwriter who is also the president of his controversial fan base, “Marlians” will never forget this date as he would have faced seven years sentence if he was found guilty of the charge.
The development also affected his friends, Zlatan, Rahman Jago, Biesloaded and Gucci-Branch.

After spending exactly 14 days behind bars, the singer was released after perfecting his bail conditions levied on him by Justice Nicolas Oweibo. Naira Marley might have faced a seven years sentence had it been he was found guilty of the charges.
It is already a year ago without any legal trouble to worry about by Naira Marley, but he’s career might have been more booming than this if not for EFCC issue he has” – Someone said to me, but I agreed less.
