He urges them to stop pitting him against other artistes.

Taking to his Instagram story, the Under the Influence singer expressed frustration over ongoing comparisons that place him side-by-side with fellow music icons.

In the now-viral post, Chris Brown made it clear that until other artistes have endured the same level of scrutiny and independence he has, any comparison is invalid.

I wish y’all would stop comparing me to other artistes and saying ‘me vs someone else,’” he wrote.

Until one of these artistes does everything on their own with no help — while the media constantly messes with them — then come talk to me.”

The Grammy-winning artiste stressed that his journey in the music industry has been far from easy.

However, he has managed to stay consistent for two decades without the kind of backing or support others might enjoy.

Chris Brown also reminded critics that beyond the fame, he is in the business to make a living,

Also,  his longevity speaks volumes about his work ethic and resilience.

I’ve been in this thing for 20 years, making ends meet, staying relevant, and doing it my way,” he added.

Throughout his career, Chris Brown has often been compared to legendary figures such as Michael Jackson and Usher.

Also, this is particularly for his dynamic stage performances and vocal talent.

He’s also been likened to T-Pain, Trey Songz, Mario, Akon, and Nelly.
