Nigeria's COVID-19 cases rise to 64,336, with 1,160 death

Nigeria has now recorded a total of 64,336 cases of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.

This was made known by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update late Tuesday night.

It stated that 152 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours across the country.

2 new deaths were recorded while 264 recovered patients were discharged.

8 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recorded new cases on Tuesday.

Lagos recorded the day’s highest toll with 93 cases while the FCT recorded 21 cases.

Oyo State also reported 15 new cases with Rivers State reporting 11 cases.

Others are Bauchi (7), Kwara (2), Bayelsa (1), Edo (1), and Plateau (1).

So far, there have been 60,333 recoveries while 1,160 fatalities have been recorded.
