US Accuses Nigeria Of Poor Response To Religious Violence

The Nigerian economy has suffered its fair share of the presidential decree that introduced a ban on microblogging platform, Twitter, as it has lost over N2 billion, and is set to lose over N90 million every hour owing to the ban.

This was made known by Paradigm Initiative (PIN), via a tweet on Saturday.

It said, ”Exactly 24 hours ago, the government of Nigeria announced the suspension of @Twitter operations in Nigeria. Since then, the country has lost N2,177,089,051 ($6,014,390) based on the Cost of Shutdown Tool.

”The loss continues at a rate of N90,712,044 ($250,600) every hour!”
