*Say he’s too credible to be linked with fraud
*Allegations blackmail by those against my IMC appointment – Nagbo

Traditional rulers in Ogoniland, Rivers State, have expressed doubt over alleged diversion of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) funds by Interim Management Committee (IMC) member, Caroline Nagbo, demanding “thorough investigation” of the matter.

Nagbo, an Evangelist and NDDC IMC member in charge of Youth, Women and Culture is being accused of diverting funds and sundry provisions meant as palliatives to youth in the region.

The concern by the Ogoni monarchs follows a denial by Nagbo who also claimed the unidentified youths raising the allegation have been threatening her life and those of her family, describing their actions as blackmail sponsored by those angered by her IMC’s membership.

Chairman, Ogoni Traditional Rulers Council, King Suanu Baridam, Gbenemene Bua Bangha, stated that, “It is painful, embarrassing for us, traditional rulers that our daughter is being rubbished because we know her so well as credible and can’t get herself into such conduct.

“When she was given this position, she met with the traditional rulers and respectfully assured us about the positive things she intended to do. We have received several calls on the allegation. We call for a thorough investigation to unravel the truth.”
