Nasboi’s Music Journey

His journey into the spotlight began with a deep-rooted passion for music, inspired by legends like 2Face Idibia and Davido, who shaped his early love for the art.

Growing up, Nasboi was a natural entertainer, finding his footing in comedy, where his creativity and humour quickly won over audiences.

But he always had a love for music, one that never left him. After studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Uyo, Nasboi decided it was time to explore that side of his passion.

In 2023, he dropped his debut single, ‘Lover Boy,’ officially marking his entry into the music world.

With his signature Afrobeat sound, Nasboi quickly captured attention. Songs like ‘Umbrella,’ where he teamed up with Wande Coal, and ‘Small Money’ solidified his position as more than just a comedian—he was an artiste.

These hits set the stage for his first EP, ‘In Nasboi I Trust (I.N.I.T),’ a project that reflects life, love, and self-expression.

On the EP, Nasboi collaborates with some of Nigeria’s finest, including Chike, 2Baba, Falz, and Joeboy.

He brings his storytelling skills into the music, weaving tales of love, humour, and introspection.

One standout track, ‘Ajo,’ explores the depths of devotion, while ‘Could This Be Love’ features Chike and delves into the raw emotions of falling in love.

In his lyrics, Nasboi paints vivid pictures of romance, using metaphors that compare love’s sweetness to coconut and chocomilo, while its challenges are likened to bitter herbs.

With ‘Could This Be Love,’ he shows the vulnerability that comes with true affection, making listeners feel the overwhelming emotions of love through every beat and verse.
