NANS are protesting over the unresolved impasse between the federal government and ASUU, which has persisted for over seven months in the country and has grounded educational activities leaving the students roaming the streets aimlessly having nothing to do and with no hope of when the strike would end.

Speaking at a world press conference in Akure the Chairman, NANS National Task Force on #EndAsuuStrikeNow, Raymond Ojo, said we are grounding airports to make the rich share in the pains of the students occasioned by the prolonged strike action.

Meanwhile, a heavy presence of operatives of the Nigerian Police can be felt along the airport road as they are positioned at strategic positions along the route.

The students would hope that they can continue their peaceful protest as it had been done in other places without any casualty or anybody sustaining any form of injury but driving home their point which is that education in the country is not something to be trifled with or handled with levity.
