Conversely, he commissioned key healthcare upgrades—including a new laboratory, paediatric ward, and office complex at Plateau State Specialist Hospital—signalling his administration’s focus on essential public services.
Restoring Plateau Express
However, at the Jos event, Mutfwang recalled the decline of Plateau Express and affirmed his PDP-led government’s commitment to its revival.
Furthermore, he credited President Tinubu’s call for governors to address rising hardship as the trigger for prioritising transport.

Choosing to buy new, not used, buses, he redirected state funds—cutting luxury spending in other ministries—to support the initiative.

Moving on, highlighting his support for gender inclusion, Mutfwang introduced the first female driver of Plateau Express.
In addition, he shared how, during his time as a local government chairman, he had sponsored both boys and girls for automotive training, a move that is now bearing fruit.
Expanding Transport Vision
Looking forward, the governor revealed plans for “Plateau Express 3.0” and ongoing partnerships to upgrade Jos Airport into a cargo hub.
