The Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Twitter, Elon Muk, has announced his search for someone “foolish enough to take the job” to take over from him as the CEO of Twitter.

Musk made this known on his official Twitter handle, @elonmusk, on Tuesday following a poll he launched asking if he should resign.

The said poll which pulled 17,502,391 votes had 57 percent of the voters asking him to resign.

Although he promised to abide by the result of the poll, on seeing the final result, he gave the condition for his resignation.

“I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software and servers teams,” he said.

The CEO is very unlikely to resign soon, because according to him, “no one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive”.

The billionaire launched the poll following backlash received for suspending journalists’ accounts on Thursday because they “doxxed his exact location in real-time “.

He, however, unsuspended the accounts following a Twitter poll he launched.
