Son Heung-Min led an inspired Tottenham comeback against Southampton in Sunday’s early Premier League kick-off.

The South Korean international spared Manager José Mourinho’s blushes after Southampton took an early lead through Danny Ings’ cracker, while dominating possession in the opening stages.

He grabbed a 45th-minute equaliser right on the stroke of half time to cancel out Ings’ 32nd minute strike, sending Spurs into the dressing room with something to work with.

Son came back out firing, capitalizing on Harry Kane’s layoff to take the lead two minutes after the restart.

The onslaught continued as Harry Kane became the first player in Premier League history to assist the same scorer four times in the same match.

He wrapped up scoring for the men in white with a solo goal after Lamela’s effort struck the post and fell to him in the 82nd minute.

Southampton got some more consolation after referee David Coote gave a controversial penalty for a handball committed by Matt Doherty in the 90th minute. Danny Ings buried his effort easily, sending Hugo Lloris the wrong way, and earning himself a brace in the process.
