Monaco and Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Japanese attacker Takumi Minamino worth £15.5 million (€18 million).
Minamino, 27, joined Liverpool in 2020 after leaving Red Bull Salzburg. He has played 55 times for the Reds and scored 14 goals.
Prior to returning to Anfield in the summer of 2018, the forward spent the second half of the 2020–21 season on loan at Southampton, where he scored twice in 10 Premier League games.
In the end, Minamino participated in 22 games across all competitions to help Liverpool win the Quadruple last season. He scored 10 goals, including important ones in the team’s FA Cup and League Cup victories.
The total cost of the fee is £12.9 million initially and an additional £2.6 million in add-ons.
