One cannot begin to imagine the honour that the victory of this competition brings to the country of the winner.
For Nigeria, that honour came from Miss Chidimma Adetshina, who walked at the Miss Universe 2024 competition and emerged at the top making history as the first runner-up.
Indeed, the 73rd edition of the prestigious pageant was held on Saturday night.
It happened in the city of Mexico, marking the city’s first time hosting the event since 2007.
The 2024 competition left the crown on the head of Miss Victoria Kjaer Theilvig from Denmark.
Miss Victoria now succeeds Miss Universe 2023, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua.
The Miss Universe pageant, which began in 1952, was first won by Armi Kuusela from Finland.
