Megan Thee Stallion is set to take the stage as the opening performer at this year’s ceremony, which takes place on Sunday, June 30, at the iconic Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
The rapper’s appearance will coincide with the release of her highly-anticipated new album, MEGAN, dropping on June 28.
The 18-track project promises to deliver collaborations with top artistes like UGK, GloRilla, and Victoria Monét, as well as fan-favorite hits like “Cobra,” “BOA,” and the chart-topping “HISS.”
Megan Thee Stallion’s performance at the BET Awards comes as she wraps up the U.S. leg of her global “Hot Girl Summer Tour” with GloRilla.
The Grammy-winning artiste has extended her tour with additional dates, including stops in Atlanta and Charlotte, North Carolina, on July 2 and 3, respectively.
Joining Megan Thee Stallion on the BET Awards stage will be a star-studded lineup, including Will Smith, GloRilla, Ice Spice, Latto, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Tyla, and Monét.
Taraji P. Henson returns as host, while Usher will be honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
