Mazraoui has now undergone corrective surgery, according to The Athletic, after he experienced palpitations.

He is expected to be out of action for a period, but United hope he will be available again in a matter of weeks.

Mazraoui has made 10 appearances in all competitions since joining the Red Devils from Bayern Munich alongside fellow ex-Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt in the summer window.

He is expected to make a full recovery as his condition is said to be fairly common.
