Manchester United have been associated with Spanish international Pau Torres for quite some time, and the Villarreal player is once again in the spotlight.
MEN reported last month that the Red Devils have rekindled their interest in recruiting the La Liga standout for the upcoming season.
According to Marca, Manchester United are willing to spend £43 million to capture Pau Torres (50 million euros).
Torres, who has 17 Spain caps, was a crucial player of the Villarreal team that overcame Manchester United to win the Europa League last year.
He appeared in 33 La Liga games (2021-22 season) and helped the Yellow Submarine retain 11 clean sheets. He also scored 5 goals during the campaign. The La Roja star was instrumental in helping Emery’s team reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
The newly hired manager, Ten Hag, is resolute and wants to sign the 25-year-old no matter what.
