Ugarte, who has been United’s primary midfield target throughout the transfer window, is set to arrive in the UK on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, for a medical and to finalize personal terms.

PSG initially sought to recoup the £51.1 million (€60 million) they paid Sporting Lisbon for Ugarte last summer before bonuses.

United are reportedly satisfied with the terms of the agreement.

The 22-year-old midfielder will join Manchester United just a year after PSG signed him from Sporting Lisbon for the same £51.1 million fee.

Ugarte was not included in PSG’s squad for their Ligue 1 opener against Le Havre, which ended in a 4-1 victory for the reigning champions.

Despite only starting 21 games in the 2023/24 season, Ugarte led Ligue 1 in tackles with 98, underlining his defensive prowess in the French top flight.
