Manchester City announced a new global collaboration with Masdar today, in which the renewable energy and sustainable development firm will become an Official Partner of the Club.

Masdar, a global leader in renewable energy, clean technology, and sustainable development, is focused on the development of renewable energy projects in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as other international markets, and has a presence in nearly 40 countries.

Manchester City and Masdar will engage on a variety of partnership activation functions as part of the new agreement, including the launch of a new worldwide campaign focused at raising awareness about the necessity of climate action and mitigating climate change. The campaign will run concurrently with the Masdar-hosted Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), the leading forum for advancing sustainable development, which is set to take place from January 15th to January 19th, 2022.

Masdar intends to become a worldwide clean energy powerhouse, with a project inventory totaling more than 50GW by 2030.
