However, the situation in Nigeria is particularly severe, with the cost of living skyrocketing and many citizens struggling to cope.

Reflecting on the challenging circumstances, Timaya expressed empathy for the average Nigerian.

Also, he noted that as someone who supports numerous people financially, he understands the weight of the economic burden.

“Things are really hard. I feel it for people because if people are not happy, I can’t be happy too. I pay bills. I help a lot of people “.

So I understand what people are going through. I’m also feeling it [the hardship],” he shared.

However, Timaya revealed that he has seen a dramatic rise in expenses, especially in paying his staff’s salaries and supporting his family members, due to the soaring cost of living.

Also, he emphasised how inflation has impacted everyone, from ordinary citizens to high-ranking officials.

Even politicians are crying too, not to talk of me,” he added.

He further pointed out that the only way to cope with Nigeria’s current economic demands is by earning foreign currency, such as dollars, which provides a significant advantage when converted into naira.

If you’re earning forex and you convert it to naira, that’s how you can ball,” Timaya said.

He suggested that those who rely on local currency face a much steeper struggle.
