Premier League champions Liverpool have pledged to honour the remainder of Diogo Jota’s contract by paying the full amount to his family.
This follows the forward’s untimely death at the age of 28.
Jota and his brother, André Silva, tragically lost their lives in a car crash in Spain in the early hours of Thursday, July 3.

The Portuguese striker had signed a five-year contract extension with Liverpool in 2022.
This reportedly earning £140,000 per week, equating to around £7.2 million annually.
