Results of the highly contested Edo State Governorship election held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, have started pouring in.

It was a tensed Saturday in Edo as residents trooped out en-masse to exercise their franchise across the three major zones in the state – Edo South, Central and North.

Now, after exercising their civic rights, residents and citizens of the state are waiting to hear the outcome of the election.

While the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is yet to officially declare a winner, results from polling units, wards and local government have started coming in.

Supporters, residents, as well as Nigerians, are eagerly waiting on the electoral umpire to declare the winner.

According to the result announced at Ward 1 unit 3, Okaigben Ewohim, Ighodalo polled 200 votes, while APC trailed with 45 votes.
