Nigerian singer, David Adeleke better known as Davido has revealed what he went through during the #EndSARS protest in Nigeria.
The singer said that he got into a big mess following his involvement in the protest against police brutality in the country.
Recall that during the #EndSARS movement in 2020, Davido also learnt his voice to the movement and joined the protest in Abuja and also secured the release of some protesters who were arrested by the police.
Recently, during an interview with Trevor Noah on the Daily Show, Davido narrated how he fled the country due to his active participation during the #EndSARS movement.
“I got into a lot of trouble. I had to actually leave the country. It was that bad. I was reposting everything that had to do with the campaign. It was amazing to see people come out like that. And I will say this: they listened to us. They heard us. They might not have changed anything but they were shook,”
