To support the Lagos State Government effort in curbing the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has donated three ambulances to the State.

Ambulances were presented by the WHO Nigeria, OIC Dr. Braka Fiona, and received by the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in the presence of Secretary-General of the Federation, and the Chair of the Presidential Task Force, Boss Mustapha, Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, Minister for Health, Osagie Ehanire, amongst others.

According to a tweet on Tuesday, the United Nations health agency explained that this was to support the government’s effort in curbing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state.

It added that the donation of the ambulances would boost the fight against COVID-19 in the state, following the recent successes recorded in Lagos.
