The Lagos State Government has extended its work-from-home policy for public servants by an additional three months.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved the extension in a circular signed by the state’s Head of Service, Bode Agoro, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
Initially introduced on February 28, the policy allowed workers on grade levels 01 to 14 to work from home two days a week, while those on grade levels 15 to 17 could work remotely one day per week.
The measure was implemented to ease the impact of fuel subsidy removal on public servants.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, in the latest circular, noted the policy’s positive effect on worker productivity across ministries, departments, and agencies, leading to its extension.
