Lagos, Ogun residents lament loses worth millions of naira to flood, task government to address the menace.

Lagos and Ogun State residents have lamented the effects of the continuous rainfall in several parts of the states, which led to floods that damaged their vehicles and other properties.

Some of the affected areas are Marina, Lekki, Agege, Iju Road, Victoria Island, Oshodi, Ago Palace, Ilupeju, Ogudu, Ketu and Magboro among other parts of the states where some of the damaged vehicles and other living room items like chairs, and television sets among others could be seen.

Some stakeholders have placed the responsibility on the government saying that they receive taxes from the residents while the residents still provide basic amenities like roads, water and electricity, but others have said it is majorly a failure on the part of the residents who clog drainage with their refuse.
