
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Olorundare Jimoh, has addressed the widely circulated video of Pastor Paul Adefarasin allegedly pointing a stun gun at a content creator.
Speaking during a Channels TV interview on the morning of June 19, the police chief emphasised that the act could constitute a criminal offence under Nigerian law.
“Pointing a stun gun at another person to instill fear or convey a threat at that moment is considered an offence,” Jimoh explained.
He cited relevant provisions of the Firearms Act.
Also, he noted that even if the object is non-metallic or a replica, he is using it to intimidate or attempt to dispossess an individual can qualify as armed robbery under the law.
The Commissioner affirmed that the police are operating within the framework of the Constitution and legal statutes in their handling of the matter.

While Pastor Paul Adefarasin has been released on bail, Jimoh stated that a full investigation is underway and the public will be informed once the findings are concluded.
