Kylian Mbappé has officially won the 2024–25 European Golden Shoe, making a powerful statement in his first season with Real Madrid.
The French star scored 31 goals in La Liga, earning 62 points under UEFA’s system that rewards goals based on league difficulty.
Trailing just behind him was Viktor Gyökeres of Sporting CP, who scored 39 goals in the Portuguese league but finished with 58.5 points.
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah came third, netting 29 goals and earning 58 points.
Mbappé’s Golden Shoe win also comes with the Pichichi Trophy as La Liga’s top scorer. He’s the first Real Madrid player to win the award in his debut season since Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2007.
In total, Mbappé found the net 43 times across all competitions this season, breaking club records and surpassing the debut-season goal tallies of Real Madrid legends like Alfredo Di Stéfano and Iván Zamorano.
With this win, Mbappé becomes the only player in history to have secured the World Cup Golden Boot, the Champions League Golden Boot, and the European Golden Shoe.
His explosive start in Madrid signals even more history-making moments to come.
