American rapper, Kanye West, also known as Ye, may now find it hard to go to Australia. The government has officially revoked his visa.

This follows the release of a controversial song entitled “Heil Hitler”, which authorities say promotes Nazi ideology.

The decision was announced on Tuesday by Home Affairs Minister, Tony Burke.

He stated that the track, released in May 2025, sparked fresh concerns over West’s growing history of antisemitic rhetoric.

The artiste had previously sparked outrage with statements on social media.

This includes remarks like “I love Hitler” and “I’m a Nazi,” shared on platform X (formerly Twitter).

Minister Burke clarified that while Kanye West’s earlier comments didn’t automatically disqualify him from entry, the content of the new song led immigration authorities to reassess his eligibility.

It was a lower-level visa, but officials looked at the law and decided that if you’re releasing a song that glorifies Nazism, we don’t need that in Australia,” Burke told reporters.

We have enough problems in this country already without deliberately importing bigotry,” he added.

Kanye West is married to Australian architect Bianca Censori, had previously maintained strong personal and professional ties to Australia, frequently visiting over the years.

However, officials declined to disclose the exact date his visa was cancelled.

The decision aligns with Australia’s recent tough stance on extremist rhetoric.
