Juventus has completed the signing of Nicolas Gonzalez from Fiorentina. The Argentine winger joins on a season-long loan for €8 million, with an obligation to buy for €25 million plus €5 million in bonuses, totaling a potential €38 million.
Gonzalez, has spent three years at Fiorentina, finishing runner-up in the Europa Conference League and Italian Cup.
He has 39 caps for Argentina, winning the Copa America in 2021 and 2024.
“Given the high probability of the above conditions being achieved this transaction qualifies as a definitive acquisition effective from today for a total amount of €33 million,” Juventus said in a statement.
Gonzalez’s addition is part of Juventus’ summer revamp under new coach Thiago Motta. The club has already signed Douglas Luiz and Khepren Thuram, and is pursuing deals for Francisco Conceicao and Teun Koopmeiners.
Gonzalez is expected to make his debut against Roma next weekend, as Juventus faces Verona on Monday without their new signing.
